To my Lil (Love) Bug

Today is a very special day.  One year ago I held you in my arms for the very first time, I became a mother, and you became my whole world.  My life became infinity more important, more meaningful, more filled with love, more frightening, humbling and in many ways it began all over again, a new and improved life.

Today marks a year of firsts for both of us.  We survived together, we triumphed and failed together, we grew and faltered, we loved, explored, cried, laughed and bonded.  I couldn’t be more proud of the boy you’ve become, your love, laughter and smiles are contagious and it’s been a privilege to watch you grow and become your own unique individual this past year.  You’re silly sense of humour, your stubbornness, charisma, dancing, brilliant smile, sparkling eyes, sweet voice, and flirty nature make it easy for me, and everyone you cross paths with to instantly fall in love with you.  We are all putty in your chubby little hands.

Thank you for changing my life for the better, because of you I’m improved in almost every way and I will forever be grateful for every moment spent with you.

I’m wishing you every ounce of joy possible on your first birthday, I hope you love it aw much as we love you.  Thank you for being my Lil Bug, the greastest gift I’ve ever been given is you, and the most rewarding thing I’ve ever experienced is being your mum.

I hope your life brings you happiness beyond compare, that all your dreams come true, and that at some point in your life you feel as much joy as you have given me.  Always, dream, grow and reach for the stars sweetheart.  You are worthy of the best life has to offer, never forget that.  Wishing you the happiest Birthday ever my sweet Lil Love Bug.
Loving you always and forever,

Mum (Bee)

What a beautiful post. You had me in tears before the first paragraph came to an end. Happy first Birthday “Lil Bug” and Happy first ” being a Mum for a year Day”. It makes my heart sore that your little family has had a year beyond compare. Love always and forever ❤
