Exploring Summer in Winterpeg & Beyond

“We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.”
― Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods

Like many, travel and exploration for me is essential to my happiness. Whether near or far my need to explore and find every nook and cranny of local trails, far away lands or secret hiding spots in my native land, the desire to discover never fades. Every discovery made is freeing, healing, enlightening and brings me another step further into light and closer to finding the real me.

I’m fortunate that my work allows me to travel to new places and leaves a little free time, after long days, to explore, and this is one of the greatest opportunities my job has given me. When I take my first steps onto a new trail, into a new city, park or museum, I can feel my life get lighter, the worries lessen and seem to flutter away, I’m alone with myself, my thoughts and in the most positive way possible. I seem to heal and grow with every step taken.

I encourage you to explore the hidden gems of the cities, parks, trails and all the beautiful locations around you. Combine your exploration with other passions, like photography, art and adventure, and see how much happier, how much motivation, joy, self awareness and self love you exude after the experience. Your journey, your adventure is personal, whether one of physical fittness, art, urban or nature themed, it does not matter, what matters is the experience of living in a moment, in the moment, and in a world just for you.

I hope my journeys across Manitoba inspire you to take your first steps of exploration and begin a new beautiful journey filled with excitement and discovery. Life is a gift, you are a blessing, and you deserve to experience, love and know you and your life are special and worthy of greatness and a beautiful experience. This week, plan a new adventure close to home; hit a local walking trail, city park or explore the downtown core, take those first steps to a brighter future, a healthier body and mind, and a happier more fulfilled you.

Enjoy your new adventures, every step and discovery along the way.

Yours,

Bee

My adventure, hike, run, photography session and the exploration of city and nature in Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg, MB, Canada. One of the most beautiful city parks, rivers, and trail systems I’ve ever witnessed. Journey through endless paved walking trails, rough hiking paths, over grass clearings, into Museums, English garden, past beautiful statues, glass buildings, cozy cottages, majestic rivers and over stunning bridges leading to spectacular homes. The exploration is endless and captivating.
